Correspondence with colleagues including William Lyman, Sylvester Sage and Jesse Townsend; letter of February 23, 1808 mentions a fire in Durham, New York, in which ten buildings were destroyed including a cabinetmaker's shop and the suicide of a mother of three children; several letters refer to effects of the War of 1812.
